We are hiring – Head of Finance and Administration

The Jewish Digital Cultural Recovery Project (JDCRP) Foundation is hiring a Head of Finance and Administration, with starting date as soon as possible.

The Jewish Digital Cultural Recovery Project Foundation, founded in 2019 by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) and the Commission for Art Recovery (CAR), is based in Berlin, Germany. The JDCRP is the first Jewish-based foundation dedicated to building a comprehensive central open-source platform for archival source material, research, and education on the cultural plunder conducted during the National Socialist regime.

The Head of Finance and Administration will report to the Executive Board and will be responsible for the daily operations and the further development of standards and processes. The central functions of the foundation are currently being developed and expanded according to a growing operating volume as the JDCRP launches the development of a central digital platform structure.

Your key tasks will include:

  • Financial Management 
  • Financial and administrative grant management
  • HR management
  • Further development and management of standards and processes
  • Coordination of office and IT equipment, infrastructure, and service providers
  • Coordination with relevant authorities, banks, tax consultants, auditors, and lawyers

Your profile:

  • Completed studies in the field of economics, business administration or similar fields, or completed commercial training 
  • Professional experience in a comparable position managing public sector subsidies
  • Strong accounting skills according to the German Commercial Code (Handelsgesetzbuch)
  • Fluency in spoken and written German and English 
  • Communication and strong team coordination skills
