The Association of German Foundations represents a family of more than 3,600 member foundations. Our Association is recognised as the leading centre of excellence for foundations. We represent the interests of over 18,100 foundations in Germany and see ourselves as an independent partner alongside your foundation.
We do not regard ourselves purely as an advocacy group for our members; we also offer a wide range of services: competent advice, information, events and training courses on all facets of the foundations sector, to name a few.
If you too want to be part of a circle of more than 3,600 members, you can also get involved - with your foundation, as a foundation manager, or as a friend of the foundation field – and become part of the foundation family.
Founded in 1948 as the "Consortium of Bavarian charitable and cultural foundations" with 29 participants, the Association of German Foundations now represents a foundation family of more than 3,600 direct members.
